Diabetic in Candyland – betacast
This is a 8 minute teaser for the upcoming podcast. I’ve had a couple of good submissions and ideas from people and there’s still room for more.
This is off-the-feed so any hickups and problems aren’t getting broadcasted to the world.
Diabetic in Candyland – Stories about Winning at Losing and Failing Successfully.
DIC will be changing its format and content and have a new theme. Soon, this will be a place for losers.
No, not losing weight or your mind (well, sort of).  The new DIC podcast will feature stories of being a loser whether it’s love lost, losing that promotion, or fumbling the winning pass. We want any story about your near misses with victory. Laugh at your failures because we sure will.
Why? Because failure is a great teacher and some of us have to stay after school. Also, nothing funny or interesting happens when you’re winning. We want to know the lessons you learned, bittersweet or just plain bitter. Laughing at yourself is the first step to dusting off your chaps and getting back on that horse.
We want stories so pathetic and sad not even PostSecret will post them.
The Submission Guidelines:
We can do this one or two ways:
- You record a podcast and send it to the editor. It is more interesting when the writer tells the story. It’s more genuine. You may record it by any means available as long as your voice is clear (Prefer MP3). I can do some post-production magic to fix any issues. You may also record it at my ultramodern, bleeding edge technology studio.
- Or I or someone else can read your story for you. If I can’t do it, I will send it to someone who will.
Overall length: Stories should not exceed fifteen minutes total reading time. The show should be a half-hour long.
Compensation:
$5.00, a cut of the donation barrel and a promo for you podcast or blog, if you have one.Â
